"...Be your own best advocate..."

I was born and educated in South Africa, but I now live and work in Norway. By profession, I am a molecular ecologist. Throughout my academic career, I have received training in a variety of sub-fields within the disciplines of Molecular Ecology and Aquaculture. My education has given me the opportunity to participate in a variety of international collaborative projects on a wide range of research topics, including aquaculture genomics, genome assembly, landscape/seascape genomics, invasion genomics, molecular phylogenetics, reproductive biology, and wildlife forensics. I use complementary approaches at the genomic, phenotypic, and ecological levels whenever possible. My research is relevant to society in terms of the biodiversity crisis, nature conservation, primary production, and sustainable development.
